WHAT TO BRING
Applicants for Fingerprinting:
* You must have a Request for Live Scan Service Form and
* A VALID, government-issued photo ID(A temporary license such as paper printout
from DMV is not a a valid form of identification). Expired identification information
WILL NOT be accepted.
* A Social Security Card is NOT required (except by some licensing requirement)
* Fees (Rolling service fee + processing service fee collected by the California
Department of Justice and FBI for the background checks)
California Department of justice has strict rules for Live Scan facilities. They are NOT allowed to assist or give advice to applications in filling out the Request for Live Scan Service Form. If your information is incomplete they MUST refer you back to your employment or licensing agencies.
Types of acceptable forms of ID: Alien Registration Green Card
California or out-of-state Driver's License or DMV ID Card
Military ID Card
Passport
Receiving results
Please allow a minimum of seven days before making a status inquiry. The DOJ sends the response directly to the requesting agency. You should contact the agency representative requesting your livescan background check.
